Better Cotton is sourced using a supply chain model called the mass balance system. "Mass balance" means that Better Cotton is not physically identifiable in the final product, as it is substituted or combined with conventional cotton in the supply chain. Pepco is the first Polish company to participate in this initiative. At Pepco, we have committed to sourcing 25% of our cotton through the Better Cotton program by 2025, and by 2023, we have reached 21%." By investing in Better Cotton, we also help reduce water and pesticide use. It's estimated that in 2023, sourcing cotton through the Better Cotton program will save 15,000 cubic meters of water and use 9,031 kilograms less pesticides!
